Building the Ultimate 991 GT3 RS Street/Track Monster
We recently completed a stunning transformation of a 991 GT3 RS, meticulously upgrading it into a true dual-purpose Street/Track monster. This build showcases the seamless integration of aesthetics and performance, with every component working harmoniously to create a vehicle that excels on both the road and the track.
Exterior Upgrades: Styling Meets Aerodynamics
One of the standout features of this build is the True Performance Cup wing setup, paired with a True Performance decklid extension. These components not only enhance the car’s styling but also provide significant rear downforce, crucial for high-speed stability on the track. To balance this added rear downforce, we installed True Performance front dive planes, which improve front-end grip and handling precision.
The car’s aggressive stance is accentuated by a set of BBS wheels, chosen for their combination of lightweight construction and exceptional grip. These wheels not only enhance performance but also give the GT3 RS an unmistakably bold look.
Suspension and Handling: Precision Engineered
For optimal handling, we opted for custom-valved JRZ coilovers with Eibach springs, delivering a perfect blend of comfort and track performance. To further refine the suspension geometry, we installed ERP control arms and links, ensuring precise alignment and improved cornering capabilities. A True Performance street/track alignment ties it all together, delivering razor-sharp responsiveness on the track without compromising road usability.
This 991 GT3 RS build is the culmination of careful planning and expert execution, turning an already incredible car into a purpose-built machine that thrives on the track and turns heads on the street. Each upgrade—from the aerodynamics to the suspension and interior—was selected to enhance the car’s capabilities without compromising its versatility.
